The immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has stated that the Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, is feared by Boko Haram, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN) and other groups.

The former governor, who state this on Sunday, declared his assurance on the Army Chiefs competence in discharging his duties after he made a tweet via his verified Twitter handle, @elufai.
His tweet said: A new kind of Chief of Army Staff, who without doubt will wipe out terrorism, banditry, vandalism and militancy in Nigeria.
El-Rufa’i said he knew the COAS very well, adding that he was his General Officer Commanding while he (el-Rufai) served as governor of Kaduna State.
He always led from the front anywhere he is. He personally led troops to confront bandits in Kaduna State. He did the same in the North-East and South-East. The operatives of Boko Haram, IPOB, ESN and the bandits know well and fear him , el-Rufa’i added.
In a video he posted on his Twitter page, the Army chief was seen charging security operatives to work hard and ensure the violence in Plateau State doesnt resurge. He added that the soldiers should get send messages to his open lines in case of challenges.
